Inspection and repair on LIGHTNIN gearbox
The damage to the outgoing flange shaft has not caused any additional damage to the gearbox.
It is recommended to:
- Regularly greasing the different grease points on the gearbox while turning the box
- Regularly analyze the oil for pollution and the like.
- Renew the pinion and gear of the 1st stage at a subsequent revision.
- Repair the bore of the bearing 6320 at a subsequent revision

Scope of work:
- Repair Propulsion GBX SB & PS
- PTO-shaft renew bearings o OD-box overhaul o Distribution station overhaul / repair o Oil filter unit repair o Oil cooler overhaul
PTO shaft PS was found with a high axial movement this was caused by a faulty bearing. The axial movement was visible at the generator coupling. The bearing cage was broken hereby the rolling element were found inside the gearbox carter. These rolling elements were taken out and the gearbox is cleaned inside. The PTO shaft bearings were replaced and the axial movement is readjusted to 0.10mm.

After disassembling the gearbox, all parts that would not be replaced were visually inspected and cleaned. The work performed on the returned parts are:
- All bearings that could be reused are cleaned and rinsed
- All teeth are manually checked and if necessary deburred
- Oil lines have been cleaned and flushed
- All bolts and threaded holes have been assembled and cleaned
- Surfaces are manually checked and if updated
- Side clearances have been checked
- Axial clearances re-adjusted if necessary
- Axial adjustment axes, including set on time
- Blueprints checked of the teeth
- Gearbox removed and trial run

Inspection and repair on WGW AA-SCZ-600/2/S gearbox
It is recommended to:
- Carry out a visual inspection in a year to see if the micropitting is stabilized or progressive
- Carrying out annual oil analyzes, this is a good indication of whether wear is taking place in the cabinet
- In order to solve the leakage along the dividing bolt, the upper cap must be lifted in order to apply new liquid gasket. At that time, the state of the drilling can also be viewed
- With the top cover removed, the incoming seal could also be replaced. The seal face could be lasercladded, or the seal could be moved so that it seals on another piece of the shaft.
It is recommended to:

The state of the gearbox can be considered as good, in the vibration analysis no indications for bearing or dental damage have been observed. The perceived rumble in the gearbox has been successfully remedied by increasing the flank clearance of the bevel gears.
Gearbox At the location of the input shaft, a large amount of harmonics of an unknown frequency was detected in the acceleration spectra. The origin of this signal could be related to an observed high-frequency sound in the vicinity of the 1st and 2nd stages. A slight tap has also been observed. However, the amplitudes of these two signals are not so high that immediate action is justified.

Inspection and repair on SAWA gearbox
The state of the gearbox can be considered unacceptable.
This conclusion based on:
- The wear on the bearings
- Tooth impression of the gear of the 1st axle
- The matt and gray discoloration
The wear on the bearings is probably due to the exceeding of the recommended running hours.
The tooth impression is as yet unknown. A further inspection will have to give a definite answer.
The matt and gray discoloration (pinion 3rd axis) is a sign of surface weakening, this is probably due to an over-angle bearing pattern of the tooth flanks, this is possible due to lower damage.

Inspection and repair on MAAG Gs-36 gearbox
Due to the pitting on the gears and the very rough tracks on the axial surfaces, it is advisable to renew the entire interior.
The bearings are also damaged to such an extent that they need to be renewed.
The damage seems to be caused by continuous axial forces in the gearbox. GBS suspects that this is caused by incorrect axial alignment.
Very large amount of rust has been observed in the gearbox, gears and inside gearbox.
Our advice is to;
- Clean the oil system on location, and renew the oil
- Check the alignment with respect to the axial installation dimensions.
- Check and adjust the oil system. This is to prevent the very la
